The kids are shown tough love. You get your butt on the podium and get to JGPF or you book a trip to sectionals and Challenge. Now if Conrad and Jo get CS assignments as seniors we would have a new challenge on the horizon. But as it stands, there's only one fork in the road and you get to pick your path based on how well you skate. Jo and Stephen already have their path cut out for them due to their placements. Now it's up to Conrad to do what he can.
Conrad did a livestream today that is archived on his Instagram profile. He was eating a pumpkin spice muffin. I guess the most important things from that live were the story about how he started skating, his goals for the season, and how he and Junhwan both ended up skating to Romeo & Juliet.
He mentioned Eva Najarro spotted him in CanSkate and recruited him. Since she is fluent in Polish as is his mother it worked out and he moved to YRSA.
His goals for the season are to do well at Nationals and make the junior world team. He added on he wanted to do well on the JGP.
As for his FS music it was Lee, Tracy, and Brian who decided on the music for him. Then Shae-Lynn choreographed Junhwan's FS separately. But he said it was fine since the cuts are totally different.
In his Instagram live right now, Conrad says he's only doing the SP at Sectionals to test out quads in his SP. He also said that he's not going for senior Worlds because he's not going to do a senior B so he won't have the tech scores.
He said he hopes to go to JW, but he said he doesn't think the chances are very high. Olivia McIsaac, Alison Schumacher, Natalie D'Alessandro and a few others were there because they were doing Skate Canada fitness testing, and they all loudly disagreed.
He also said he's working on all of 4Lz, 4F and 4Lo in practice and that he'll add lutz or flip for next season. He also compared his jumps to his kids and said he couldn't pick a favourite.
How many Men entries do we get to JW? 2 isn't it? He has a chance but we do have a good group that all seem to be in the same range score wise and it will come down to which ones can put together 2 back to back great skates.
