Stephen has better technique though... Conrad has huge pushes from the ice which do work to give him huge jumps but it's not beautiful to watch sometimes... i think he is improving on that too... i cannot wait to see him in new programs. He is such a diamond in the rough
I think he seriously mentioned once he hoped to get all level 4 spins in an event (Minto last year?) and that was one of his goals. Paige Aistrop is the spin doctor at Cricket Club so let's see how it goes.
It's kind of really exciting, now that I think about it, that all three of Jo, Conrad, and Stephen are training at the same place at the same time. This is like some kind of crack, alternate universe thing that you'd imagine only happens in figure skating animes.
Ah, but I forget we have only 2 spots for Junior Worlds
oh nooooo really?
Unfortunately Conrad's 13th place at JWC18 meant it wasn't possible. If he'd finished 9th or higher Canada would've had 3 spots for 2019. Depending on how Jo and Stephen do it may end up being that Conrad cost himself a spot.
It's ok though! As I was thinking, it may be that whoever's left off the JWC team gets another international assignment in the spring. The goal is obviously to do well at Nationals. Getting to JGPF would be big too.
Conrad taking on two new programs, improving his expression, really fighting for those spins...I am thoroughly impressed. He has bought in entirely to his training plan and Team Cricket's vision for him. Now I just want him to hold his positions in his footwork.
